During Nigel Lendons most salubrious visit to NYC and Warrug.com we talked about how war rugs jibe with traditional Afghan Baluchi patterns.

Here is one example, which has suffered a mild chemical wash. A rug of similar design, but with helicopters inside the inner squares is on display at Weavings of War, and I will post photo soon. Update: (Update 2/9/2008: Nigel posted a photo here of war rug of this design)
