Perfect new condition. As typical with these rugs the wool is overdyed to give depth of color, then the rugs are washed hard to remove excess dye. This rug has depth of color but no evidence the dye has run during washing. The colors are deep and beautiful.

Wool: Very good. | Sheen: Good, but without conditioning rinse which gives an extra, and supplemental shine. This is just good lustrous wool. | Handle: Strong, springy, not floppy.

Selvedge: Happily, this rug has an original and integrated selvedge which is two fat cords overcast in an undyed brown wool. | Fringe: Persian closure and one inch fringe. | Pile: 6mm dense wool
