Condition: This older rug shows some wear. Also, knotting is atypical, knots are small and compact, but look oddly pixilated from back. The color blue is exceptional, ant typical of rugs like this with good wool and fine knotting.

This rug was woven by the same weaver as rug #883 (sold).
Wool: Good, very fine threads, smooth, slightly depleted from wear.
Sheen: Very good
Handle: Floppy with some stiffness.
Selvedge: Two cord braided goat hair, worn in places in bottom foot of carpet.
Fringe: All kilim removed on bottom leaving kinky fringe, top has three rows of kilim before Persian closure and kinky fringe.
Pile: 4mm
Warp: Natural color wool.
Weft: Two shoots grey cotton.
Warp Depression: 75 degree warp depression, almost full
