Condition: This is a new war rug with some minor bleeding around the border. These map rugs are wonderfully drawn, but the drawings on this one in particular truly stands out because of its reminiscence of Soviet-era war rugs. This creates an interesting culmination of the contemporary and traditional.
Wool: The wool is fine and soft.
Sheen: The sheen has a nice luster to it, and will only improve with time.
Handle: The handle of this war rug is nicely firm and floppy.
Selvedge: The selvedge is 3 cord red wool.
Fringe: The fringe on this war rug is 1/2 kilim with overhand knots.
Pile: Wool 6mm.
Warp: White cotton.
Weft: Black cotton.
Warp Depression: Full to 75 degrees
