This is an older war rug in perfect condition. There is some very minor bleeding of motif colors in the field.
This war rug has the most understated of patterns, with the helicopters blending nicely into the pattern, essentially camouflaging them. This rug has an overall beautiful palette. The white wool is very soft and has an extremely nice luster to it. The sheen is excellent.
Wool: The very soft wool is nice and thick. Sheen: The white sheen on this war rug is great. The other colors have a good sheen and will only improve over time as the wool oxidizes. Handle: The handle of this war rug is floppy and resilient. Selvedge: The selvedge consists of 2 cord goat hair braided overcast.
Fringe: The 1 inch fringe on this war rug also has lovely 1 inch weft substitution kilim ends with no closure. Pile: 7 mm wool. Warp: N natural wool of good quality. Weft: Blue-grey cotton.
Warp Depression: minimal to 45 degrees
