The condition of this new Afghan war rug is new. We offer a variety of these war rugs at many different prices, depending on the quality of the wool and the weavers' drawings. The burgundy color on the right sides of the towers is particularly nice wool. This rug is thinner and stiffer than most of the type. . The drawing is simple with literate text describing which plane hit first and second, which shows an eerie understanding by the weaver of what those of us who witnessed that horrible day (specifically from our office windows) will continually be haunted by. There are no people falling out of this one, and the drawing is not as graphic as most 9/11 war rugs. This would be a good rug for someone who likes the idea of the commemoration, but has a difficult time with some of the other war rugs. The symbolism of peace with the two flags and the white dove holding an olive branch is nice.
Wool: The wool is soft and fine.
Sheen: The sheen is nice and glossy.
Handle: The handle on this war rug is firm and rigid.
