High quality rug from the early 1980s in excellent condition. The brown wool is undyed and of unusually dense character.
Wool: Dense and soft. Sheen: Even sheen with a satin finish Handle: Floppy but dense and substantial. Selvedge: The top half of the rug has a navy blue goat hair braided selvedge while the bottom has a red selvedge. Selvedges on the fringe are black. High quality with some damage and unraveling.
Fringe: Unclosed ends, it looks like parts of the kilim ends were removed to match areas where wear had occurred. Pile: 5mmWarp: Short naturally colored woolWeft: Grey double wefted cotton thread
