Condition: This is a good example of a red rug. It has an atypical border of abstract emblems. The text throughout is illegible. The colors are good and consistent. The wool is thick and dense and above average quality for Red Rugs.
Wool: Very good, especially the red. The blue is a little bit less tightly spun.
Sheen: Good, particularly for red rug.
Handle: Strong and resilient
Selvedge: Two cords flat wrapped with dark brown wool
Fringe: White cotton plain weave, overhand knots, short fringe.
Pile: The pile is 5mm deep.
Warp: White cotton
Weft: Black cotton or wool.
