This is a contemporary version, from after 2010, of the World Trade Center rugs. The old style which was once plentiful is no longer available. The weavers and structure of these rugs are the same as the original WTC rugs, but the design has changed over time to reflect both wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. There is no flag banner, as seen in previous iterations.
This rug is in great condition. There are two panels. The top shows a view of lower Manhattan with Battery Park. Planes are flying into the buildings.
Afghanistan and Iraq are below. 19-03-03 is noted, the date of the invasion of Iraq. US planes b52, f16 are labeled.
