General Description: Thanks to reader, Bruce, for a correction. He informed us that the we have misidentified a H-46 Sea Knight as a CH-47 Chinook. He points out that the Sea Knight only has three wheels and that the windows are different.
This new Afghan war rug is in perfect condition. This rug is particularly thick with dense and strong wool. It will be very hard wearing.
This rug has an all grey Chinook. The drawing of the helicopter is a playful and animated.
This is the oldest of the Chinook rugs we have seen, it is dated 2001
This rug is one of a small number of rugs in the ""Chinook Helicopter"" sub-group of the ""Rout of Terrorism"" Afghan war rugs. The Chinook style features many of the same image as the rest of the ""Rout of terrorism"" rugs, like the Afghan map with a scene of the Tora Bora battle inside, variety of flags and weapons, names of the surrounding countries, as well as English or Farsi text. This particular sub-style shows a simply but elegantly drawn US Chinook helicopter.
Please note the red image to the right of the tail of the Chinook, it looks like a chess rook. Interesting.
